Remember that music should be grandma-appropriate, and that people will theoretically be dancing.

We have now accomplished everything we intended to do last week, including planning the ceremony with the Pastor and the menu with the caterer, and ordering flowers. We even found musicians!

Turns out our caterer is Dutch, and he appeared mildly upset when Scott said he liked the Germans in the world cup. Hopefully he won't spit in all our food.

Unrelatedly, we fixed a lamp!

Boo. On what should have been a very productive day, our caterer stood us up, and the pastor arrived for our meeting just in time to reschedule.

Maybe this week will be better.

My dress fits. If everything else goes to shit, at least I'll look good.

Most of the response cards have come back, though there are still a few delinquents out there. Yeah, I'm talking about you, Tarnow. You too, Atkinson.

Next week we meet with the caterer/manager of the visitor's center AND the pastor who'll be performing the ceremony. Hopefully most of the loose ends will be tied up shortly thereafter.

Flowers and favors are also on the "must buy" list for this week...
